BWF chapter meetings are structured professional networking meetings created specifically for the construction and infrastructure ecosystem. Regular chapter meetings currently take place twice every month, with exact dates varying by chapter.
What Happens at a BWF Meeting?
A BWF meeting is designed to help members understand one another's businesses, identify opportunities and strengthen professional relationships. Depending on the chapter agenda, a meeting may include member introductions, business presentations, referral recognition, visitor introductions, industry discussions, guest speakers, knowledge-sharing sessions, chapter announcements and focused networking.
Why Meetings Are Held Regularly
Strong business relationships are rarely created in a single meeting. Regular meetings allow members to repeatedly understand one another's expertise, ideal customers, project requirements and capabilities. Over time, this familiarity makes it easier for members to identify relevant opportunities and make more confident introductions.
Attendance
BWF is an active professional community, so consistent participation is important. Regular bi-monthly meeting attendance is mandatory under the current BWF policy. Members who repeatedly miss meetings may be subject to action under the forum's rules.
Substitute Attendance
If a primary member cannot attend a meeting, a managerial-level representative from the same company may attend as a substitute, subject to BWF's substitute-attendance rules.
Visitors
Eligible professionals can register to visit a BWF chapter and experience the meeting before applying for membership. Visiting a chapter gives a prospective member an opportunity to understand the meeting structure, meet existing members and evaluate whether the forum is suitable for their business.
Meeting Charges
The current BWF policy requires members to contribute toward the hotel and food expenses for regular meetings. Event, conference and exhibition charges may be separate. Current charges should always be confirmed on the relevant meeting or payment page before making a payment.
